The Largest Orangutan Conservation in the World

Located in Central Kalimantan, Indonesia, Tanjung Putting National Park is the first national park that serves as orangutan rehabilitation center. It is also the largest orangutan conservation in the world with an estimated population of 30,000 to 40,000 orangutans scattered inside and outside the national park.

Down the Black River

The Black River is another name of Sekonyer River. The closer the river is to the Tanjung Putting National Park, the darker the water gets due to the Tannins released by plats that grow in the river.

Exploring Tanjung Harapan

In Tanjung Harapan, you will be invited to the feeding area, where you can see herds of orangutan up close.
